MEETINGS
40. SCHEDULE FOR FEDERATED COUNCIL
The Federated Council shall hold three meetings annually unless the adopted budget should require, in the judgment of the executive committee and the executive director, the elimination of one meeting annually. Any change in the Federated Council meeting schedule, which results in the elimination of a meeting, shall be approved by the council (Revised February 1999 Federated Council).
41. SPECIAL MEETING OF THE FEDERATED COUNCIL
Special meetings of the Federated Council may be called by the President and must be called at the request of eight members. Only items that have been set forth in the call of a special meeting may be acted upon at the special meeting.
42. ANNUAL MEETING OF THE FEDERATED COUNCIL
At the annual meeting, the Federated Council shall:
A. Pass upon credentials of new members
B. Appoint standing committees
C. Receive reports from officers and committees
D. Consider new policies, new business, and such other matters as may seem necessary.
43. ELECTION OF OFFICERS OF THE FEDERATED COUNCIL
At the third meeting, the Federated Council shall elect a president-elect for a one-year term in each odd numbered year. The officers of the organization will be the president, the president-elect, and the past president. The president shall assume a two-year period of office. The past-president and president-elect shall assume a one-year period of office. Any member of the Federated Council, in good standing, is eligible to serve as an officer. 44. QUORUM FOR MEETINGS OF THE FEDERATED COUNCIL
A quorum shall consist of a simple majority of Council members.
45. MEETINGS AT LEAGUE, SECTION AND STATE LEVEL
All league, section and state meetings are subject to the notice and hearing requirement of the Ralph M. Brown Act (Chapter 9, Division 2, Title 5 of the Government Code). A summary of those requirements shall be printed as an appendix to the CIF Constitution and Bylaws each year. (Approved October 2000 Federated Council)
